If I want to buy cheap and quality fish, whether fresh, smoked or frozen, this is the right place. The selection also includes prawns, shrimp or marinated offerings. You will be well advised when choosing. I used to feel that the prices were in the lower range. Compared to most providers, you can still save money. At the fish market there is also a fish frying kitchen with tasty dishes. I like the fish soup best. At the moment only to take away anyway. There is plenty of parking space (free of charge).

We had an appetite for fresh fish again. There was cod. Delicious 😋 I'll get fish there again.

Fresh fish with standard dishes and daily specials. Very nice employees. Ambience OK, adapted to the moderate prices. The drinks in the quick kitchen are absolutely too * expensive *. We go to eat there regularly. Before Corona 1 (2) times a week. We like to remain regular customers.

The fish frying kitchen at the Rostock fish market is always worth a visit. Personally, I come here every time I'm with my grandparents, including today (I won't let Corona take that away from me either), and I've never been disappointed. The prices have increased again and again in recent years, but the offers are and will remain cheap. The quality of the food has been consistently high over the years, the preparation was always quick and the staff are also always friendly. All in all, definitely recommendable.

That was really delicious! Super fresh and price / performance are ok. If you found a way to get there (we drove by car - there are plenty of parking spaces) you get a great location. And of course you can buy fresh fish right at the fish market. However, we were only in the fish fry.

Fish frying kitchen: Absolutely fresh, very tasty fish at unbeatable prices. The atmosphere is not like in the noble restaurant, more like a canteen, but still rustic and cozy with very nice staff. Sometimes quite crowded around 1 p.m., best to go before 12 p.m. or from 2 p.m.

We ate delicious fresh fish and at an unbeatable price. The staff was extremely friendly and despite the enormous rush to have some fun. We'll definitely be back.

The food wasn't the only thing that amazed us in this tavern! Of course, I like to try out new places and I'm always looking for new places, but I will stay loyal to this restaurant. The waiters are always very diligent and non-stop gallant! The seats were excellently cleaned and the chairs were extremely comfortable. Me found the offer extremely appealing.

The fish frying kitchen is a pleasure every year! Super delicious food. Comfortable and not too loud thanks to the individually separated, open rooms. You can talk at normal volume.

We also saw the parrots, beautiful animals, very good! Outside we were even allowed to take a picture with you! The food was very tasty and plentiful, the service was very friendly and accommodating shortly before work. A must on our next visit to Rostock.

Food, as always, very tasty, quick & inexpensive. We also saw the parrots on Saturday, but they were only there shortly before closing. Great animals, super-like - just sat there very quietly and didn't move. That's what I call adventure gastronomy!

Fresh fish on every table. Fried herring, fried potatoes for € 6.90. Delicious fish dishes without end. Eat like nuts. 👍

Very delicious food. I had Fish and Chips and it tasted really good. All is very fresh and they cook your meal after you ordered it, so you have to wait a little bit. This is kind of the only negative point, that you often have to wait long and the prices are a little bit higher. This is okay, when you see the point that all is self made and fresh.

Perhaps the best place to have fish& chips east German style!

Do not trust the first image on google. This is not a super upscale place with white table cloth. Don’t leave Rostock without visiting the “Rostocker Fischmarkt.” This is one kind of place, and you won’t regret it. You stand in line at the counter, and you can order a delicious fish dish and something to drink. They give you a number. With the number and the drink, you find a place to sit. It is expected that you sit on tables with strangers. This is a perfect opportunity to meet the natives. After a short while (for me half a beer) your number is announced over the intercom, and you go to the counter to pick up your food. The fish is a fresh catch, and the presentation is beautiful. I had cod with cabbage. The flavor profile was absolutely amazing. The fish was lightly breaded. While in line and at the table, I had some talk with original Rostockians. This was an absolute fantastic outing. You won’t regret it.
